Vanessa Designs to the Afrobeat! Summer 2011 Meet Vanessa Laub, Senior Designer for the Trina Turk Women's Sportswear Collections. This month she celebrates 5 years with the company! Vanessa works right alongside Trina, helping define, design, and develop each fabulous collection...and this summer's assortment is no exception! This tribal inspired summer delivery was so much fun to research and design. While sketching I listened to a lot of afrobeat music...like Antibalas, the in-house band for the Broadway musical Fela!...which really inspired me. The dancers, funky music, and fantastical print mixing in the costumes were incredible. I love mixing a wild print with bright color, especially in my summer wardrobe. I paired the Sefli top (I love the cool, triangle cut-out detail on the neckline) with the Emilio high-waisted shorts (so chic)! I also have a passion for bold, shiny jewelry like the Egyptian Disk bracelet and Dome ring in gold to polish off my look."

"Her Name is Melissa..." Melissa Robles is our Retail Division Manager and has been with Trina Turk since 2003! Melissa is always on the go, based in our LA offices and jetting to Trina Turk Boutiques across the US. "Summer is my favorite time of year! I love the beautiful beach weather, bright colors, vacations and spending time in the sun. It’s also a great time to spice up your wardrobe with lots of fun colorful pieces from Trina Turk! This summer’s collection theme is “Her Name is Rio” and my favorite is the Samba Zinnia Dress. It’s lightweight with a fine Italian hand on the fabric and beautiful colors. We also have so many fun options to accessorize with, my pick is the Manakoora Necklace. Palm Springs EternalSpring 2011 Tesha Rosenwinkel manages the original Trina Turk Boutique in Palm Springs, and “Trina Turk Residential” next door - a unique decorative accessories shop for the home. Tesha is representing our “Palm Springs Eternal” collection, inspired by the desert lifestyle.

Resort Wear with GraceMeet Kelly!
Kelly Kozakov is one of the Wholesale Account Executives based in our Los Angeles Showroom. Her territory extends from Nevada and Arizona to Oklahoma…even Mexico! We asked our Kelly to model from the Resort collection inspired by Grace Kelly.
"Perhaps it's just me, but whenever I think of Grace Kelly, certain things come to mind - like classic, timeless beauty. With our Resort delivery having such great inspiration, and touches of the South of France, it was hard to decide what I loved most!
I decided to go with the Knit Ran Pant paired with the ruffled one-shoulder Mayreau Top - it’s chic and cozy all at the same time! A striped pant is a new way to wear a classic trend like stripes, and I love stripes!"

Holiday Party Dressing - Meet Jennifer!Jennifer Postle is Customer Service Manager of our wholesale division. Jenn has been with Trina Turk for 6+ years. She and her team work closely with our showrooms and wholesale customers to ensure each Trina collection makes it to the sales floor of your favorite local boutique or department store without a hitch.
"I love this time of year! Why? Holiday parties! Trina’s Lush Life collection has no shortage of fabulous party attire to select from. My absolute favorite is the Deveraux Belted Dress. The feminine sweetheart neckline and scallop design detail makes this dress ultra flattering. And you can’t forget the jewelry...a girl needs her bling! That Mod Girl Jen...Jen Clark is our graphic designer. When you see visual information from us, chances are it was designed by Jen. She works on ads, lookbooks, invitations, labels, branding, email blasts, etc....you name it, Jen has a hand in it.
"I am simply mad about the entire Holiday collection! It's Mod London in the 1960s with a contemporary twist! Picking just one outfit was quite an act of discipline. The Hijinx 2 Dress in the Mod Drops print is so festive and lighthearted. For some sparkle, I added the Grecian Links Bracelet in silver!"

Into the Woods - Fall
Maegen Bermudez is an associate buyer in our retail department. She selects the assortments of TT ready to wear and jewelry for our Los Angeles, New York and Burlingame boutiques, and also buys accessories from other vendors to add to the mix. Maegen has a great eye for merchandising, and collaborates with our store teams when new collections hit the floor.
"Into the Woods is a gorgeous collection! The Cora Dress in my favorite print, Woodland Roses, fits like a glove! I paired it with the Iridessa Sweater. This sweater is so versatile, it can be thrown over anything from a casual look to the dressy Cora.
I accessorized my look with theThe Cleopatra Cuff I love the vintage look of this piece. I will definitely be wearing these pieces ALL season long!"

Lauren's Got a New York Jazz Attitude! Lauren First has been our New York showroom office manager since it’s 2007 opening. We thought she'd be the perfect person to represent our new Fall collection, inspired by the city nightlife, Jazz, and film noir. The collection is full of options that move effortlessly from office to an evening out.
"The Stanton 2 pant is so flattering, and looks great with heels or flats. The Shaw Blouse is a must for fall. The rich peacock color is perfect to bring in the cooler weather. You can layer it with a cardigan or blazer for work, and then wear it alone for drinks! Cristina Sends Her Best! Cristina Villalobos works in our e-commerce shipping department and has been with the company for a year now. She has a very demanding job as she is the one who makes sure all your orders are pulled from our warehouse and shipped to you in a timely manner.

Carol Fu has been the Controller at Trina Turk for 4 years. She makes sure all our numbers add up and keeps things under control in the accounting department.
Carol's pick is our Astra Dress in black ponte knit with a pretty gold belt detail (available at trinaturk.com). This dress has been a bestseller,and our customers keep asking us to make it again, so here it is! Wear it now, and wear it into fall.

Melanie Copple manages our NYC and East Hampton boutiques! The East Hampton shop has officially reopened at 79 Main Street for the Summer. Melanie’s selections are from our “Summer in Capri” collection, inspired by Trina’s holiday in Italy last year.
“I just love the Mayreau Dress... it's girly and feminine, but a little sassy all at the same time! You don't need a ton of accessories with this dress... just a great pair of Trina Turk Tear-Drop Earrings, a Bold Cuff and you’re all set. This dress is so versatile. Miss Gypset - Meet Nicole! Nicole Rivera is a wholesale sales representative based in our Los Angeles showroom. She also travels the country showing the Trina Turk line to our wonderful boutique customers in Northern California,Texas, Louisiana, Colorado and Hawaii.
Nicole has a unique sense of style and we thought she would be the perfect person to choose a look from the current “Gypset” Collection.
"I chose the Ashante Jumper because lapis blue is my favorite color of the season. I can wear the jumper by day with a flat sandal. I can also dress it up at night, with a great wedge and fun accessories…like the Palm Springs Block Enamel Bangles and the Beaded Teardrop Necklace.

Maria Verstappen has been one of our excellent Palm Springs boutique sales associates for over 6 years, and she was photographed by Jonathan in the window of the Palm Springs Boutique. Maria and her husband, artist Christopher Georgesco* both love to dress up in TT (He wears Trina's menswear available exclusively at our PS shop) and go to openings around town. "I love so many pieces from our Spring delivery that it was hard to pick just one! I finally chose The Highpoint Dress. I love it's simplicity and flattering fit and the Blue Splash color really pops. I own a lot of vintage jewelry and am very excited about Trina's new jewelry line. The Snake Chain Cabochon Necklace is one of my favorites this Spring. It's fun finding something new with such a great vintage look!"

Elizabeth Lopez started with Trina Turk 11 years ago. Now our e-commerce manager, Liz is used to being behind the scenes overseeing our web photo shoots and your on-line orders.This month, she stepped in front of the camera to model her picks from our “Wild Deluxe” Resort collection.
